| Scrimshaw Bodkin with Multi-Color Decoration |
| Great example of a 19th-C. sailor-made bodkin cut from a whale’s tooth and decorated with red and black “dots.” I believe the red color is sealing wax and the black may be silver wire (uncertain). Condition very good, with age-caused warping of shaft. Measures 4-1/2 inches. |
