| Vintage Carved Wooden Folk Art Dog by Dewey V. Sessions |
| This German Shepherd is well carved and painted. Sessions (1901-1990) spent his life in the Boonville area north of Utica, NY. Well known for his wood carvings of bird and animals, he displayed his work in Rome, NY, and at the Boonville Woodsmen’s Field Days for many years. This dog is signed. It measures 7-3/4” high, including the base, and 9” long. Overall condition is good, with light touchup in gray paint at the leg joints, possibly by the artist himself. |
